If you want to be operationally focused in your business, one of the most important things to do when you are getting starting with your business is to document the things you are doing. This is hard because it takes time away from actually doing those things.
However, if you don’t document the processes, each time you have to do something you will have to take the time to stop and remember “what did I do last time I had to do this?”. It is much easier if you can just pull up a few notes and run through them. Plus, by doing things the same way it will help it to stick in your brain and pretty soon you won’t have to look them up because it will have become routine.
Level things up!
If you want to take things to the next level, you could even document the WHY behind your actions. I’m doing X this way because of Y. By doing that, you start to document the way you are thinking. When you go to hire someone, then they won’t need to ask you every time what they should do in a situation. Because you have things documented they can look at how you thought about your problems and processes and make similar decisions. This will unlock you even further as you continue to grow.
